Character: Sora
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Personality: "In that case you should give some of that hatred to Sora. He's too nice for his own good." - Ansem the Wise; KHII
Sora is essentially one of the purest-hearted characters within the canon of Kingdom Hearts, but being the main hero of the storyline it's not so surprising. He's a kind and understanding kid and takes a lot in at once pretty easily, and yet in the same instance can be quite the airheaded one. To say the least he does have his dense moments and tends to get overlooked by some of the enemies in the world.
They underestimate him but he seems fine with that and is eager to prove that he knows what he's doing, but it doesn't give Sora a big ego or anything like that. Not entirely, anyway. He cares a lot for his friends and would do anything for them, thinking of them first before worrying about his own safety. Over two games he searched for his friends, Riku and Kairi, having lost them once at the first of KH I and finally reuniting with one another all in the end of KH II, and more than once he's proclaimed that his friends ARE his power; his driving force. Sora's a very helpful guy and does what he can to help others, even if it hinders him a little. He considers every friend worthy and all a part of his strength. He knows without them that he couldn't do what he has accomplished so far.
As well, he's a little cheeky when he wants to be where it regards enemies and ones he's against, though such has gotten him swatted aside by enemies for such, though it has not stopped him in the least.
Being only a young man with a lot on his shoulders indeed is a huge burden all on it's own and if it overly bothers Sora, he hides it well with a smile - it's not fake either - and enjoys every moment with those around him. He's a touch childish as well and knows how to enjoy himself; showing the purity of his heart in the darkness around him, like how he was able to take in Ventus' shattered heart into his own without knowing who it was or that it could have possibly hurt him. Sora is unbelievably trusting and will trust someone until they give him a reason to not do so, and even then, he will try to see the good in them before the negative as that's just how he is.
Though he isn't as perfect and pure as he may seem. He knows he's defenseless without the keyblade and his overly trusting personality has gotten him into trouble, and he has felt such conflict before when he once learnt his voyages in destroying the heartless was helping the Organization in their plans and almost stopped fighting because he felt awful. In the recent game, Dream Drop Distance, Sora was hurt when a friend didn't recognize him and in his blissful ignorance, kept forwards in the nightmare/dream that Xehanort laid out for him while knowing it wasn't really his reality. He can feel hurt when people don't remember him in general but will try to fix that the best he's able, and in the end, he's positive about anything and seems to be the farthest from someone who would hate others.
Sora will always extend a hand to those who need help and offer a bright smile, and while he's not the most eloquent, he does a 110% job or doing what he can for people. While being kind, happy and cheerful, he's also quite determined; if searching for Riku and Kairi over the entirety of KHII is any indication. Needless to say as well that Sora knows when to take things seriously, even if he wants to be a bit of a kid about it and jumps headlong into things if he's sure he can handle it.
Meaning he can be impulsive, but still so simple-minded and holds a definitive, strong sense of justice while understanding just how important his quest is. As well, his heart is unrelenting and helpe him in being sincere in everything that he says and does; something that's been more than obvious spread out over all of the games.
History: Here
Timeline: Post KH3DS
Abilities: Due to his heart joining his heart with Ventus's, Sora gained the power to use something called the Keyblade. He has immense skills with it and has been known to be able to wield other users' keyblades.
In tangent with this, he's able to use magic, like fire, ice, wind and thunder/electricity to weaken heartless that would be weak to them, as well as the spell 'cure' to heal his friends. It also goes without saying that over the course of the Kingdom Hearts games that Sora's rather strong, agile and able to handle himself against not only a 1000 heartless on his own and a fair few number of Organization XIII.
Within the past games, he'd been able to use summon gems or use something called his Drive Forms, but it could only be done with the power of his party members he's with at the time, and can only wield two keyblades in this form. However while IN possession of his keyblade, it's given him a lot of positive, almost superhuman strengths. Such as additional durability that most humans do not possess, incredible physical strength [one can't swing around a weapon constantly without gaining something from it ] which has lead to him being able to overpower opponents much larger than him as well as the ability to be able to jump extended distances that a normal person would not be able to manage.
His weapon also has the power to purify the heartless and is sharp enough to be able to cut through anything; such as concrete and solid buildings. As well, while not a battle-worthy strength, he's a talented singer and can use a skateboard, as can his nobody Roxas.
Inventory: I'd say it would just have to be his keyblade; though it technically can be summoned at any time from wherever, essentially. That and the clothes off his back.

Turning his gaze upward, the sun was so bright and standing out against the cloudless sky, illuminating everything with light. The sand beneath his feet moved aside so easily; between his toes as he walked along the beach, while the water continued to hit the shore in gentle waves, nearly touching Sora's feet with every other step he took.
Only a week had passed since the Mastery Exam had taken place and things had calmed down, though lately Sora had begun to feel more and more restless and he wasn't even sure why. He loved being home again but there was something about the calm that almost seemed unnerving in itself as one didn't know when things would change again. Shaking his head, he put on a grin, shoving aside those thoughts and about to turn to face the shore when a voice caught him off guard. "Hey! Sora! Have you seen Riku?" it took a second for him to realize it was Kairi, standing nearby and looking amused at him - had he a spacey look on his face or something?
"Huh? Oh... uh... no, not recently. Why?" A bit of a puzzled look was written all over Sora's face, folding his arms back behind his head casually. "Just looking for him, that's all. I need to talk to him next time he's around so just tell him to come see me when you catch him, alright? I'll be back soon later so try not to go too far" Kairi murmured with a smile as she waved to him and headed off on her own, blue eyes watching her before casting his gaze out onto the ocean and exhaling a small sigh. A smile soon formed on his lips at the thought of his friend in question; his best friend had officially been named the 'Keyblade Master' and he was really happy that Riku had been able to accomplish that.
Riku was not only his best friend but someone he also considered a comrade in their quest, one person who always had his back. Though he did admittedly miss his dream-eaters that had joined him on the last journey as well.
Then there were the thoughts trailing back to Neku and the others he'd met in Traverse town. "...I wonder if everything worked out for Neku, Shiki and Joshua..." he murmured quietly to himself before flopping down in the sand, holding out a hand up toward the sky as the keyblade materialized in his hand, the metal gleaming in the sunlight proudly.
There was still a fight left but he'd be able to do it. They'd overcome Xehanort and the plans he had to come in the future. With Riku and Kairi at his side he knew they'd be able to win.

[ When he's just about positively sure it's working, Sora plasters on quite the smile; edging on sheepish but rather upbeat for what it was worth. ]
...Hi! I was told to introduce myself on here so uh... yeah. My name's Sora! If anyone's out there who could help me, i'd appreciate it.
Kinda lost to what's going on, actually...
[ He reaches up a hand and fingers the strange little rowan crown sitting lopsided atop of his head; amidst his spiky brown locks. This thing really didn't want to stay right on his head, but he really did think it was cool.
Also feel free to point out just out how calm he was being with being somewhere like this and not.. alarmed. at all. ]
